POTSDAM -- Ryan E. D'Souza, 20, Greer, S.C., accused of stripping naked in a Clarkson University lecture hall Feb. 9, has been charged by Potsdam police with two counts of third-degree assault.
Clarkson security officers responded that afternoon to a complaint of a man reported to be naked and disorderly during a lecture.
There was a physical altercation, and both officers sustained injuries in the struggle, according to police.
Police were dispatched and the defendant was taken into custody and taken for mental health evaluation.
Upon release, D’Souza was arraigned in Potsdam Village Court. Bail of $500 was set.
