MORRISTOWN -- Morristown Central School has announced its reopening plan for this fall as it prepares to offer students a safe education.

All students will attend school on-site four days a week. Students will engage in online instruction on Monday’s, beginning the week of Sept. 21. A potential dismissal time of 2:30 p.m. is being discussed.

Time dedicated during the first two weeks of school to focus on social-emotional learning and to familiarize students with school, new protocols, and online platforms.

In the event school buildings are compelled to close, school will resume virtually.

Students and staff will wear masks consistently. While seated in the classroom, students may remove coverings only when directed to do so by the teacher. Students will not wear masks during breakfast or lunch time and will be allowed additional mask breaks during the day.
