OGDENSBURG — The Ogdensburg City School District Board of Education held a moment of silence at their Jan. 19 meeting for a student who died.
The moment of silence was for 13-year old Larissa M. Redmond, who died in a snowmobile accident around Jan. 15.
The board expressed their thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.
“Larissa enjoyed music, singing, dancing, and spending summer days swimming. She was a loyal friend with a beautiful smile. She was a proud member of the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club and built many great relationships with her fellow members and staff and especially enjoyed performing in the Stepping with Sydney Dance Group with the club. In her short time on this Earth “Sassy” made an impact on those who knew and loved her and will not be forgotten,” her obituary says.
Redmond’s body was pulled from Black Lake on Tuesday, Jan. 19. Her father also died in the accident. His body has not yet been recovered from the lake.
