MASSENA – Village trustees appointed the village administrator to fill out forms to reclaim lost money held by the state comptroller’s office.
“Since we’re not a person, we have to appoint someone to fill out the forms and file the claim,” Deputy Mayor Matt Lebire told his fellow board members Tuesday, Feb. 23.
He said althought they may not have much waiting for them, there’s a “financial responsibility to get every dollar that’s owed to us.”
