MASSENA -- The Village Board of Trustees passed a resolution saying a brewpub project at 38 Water St. won't have a significant environmental impact.
"This is pretty standard item any time there's one of these projects. This is the private-public partnership grant," said Deputy Mayor Matt Lebire. "There's no significant impact on the village."
Goco Ventures will run the business. Two years ago, they received $1 million from the Restore NY grant program toward the venture.
The money will convert the building at 38 Water St. and also add two top floor residential apartments, according to a March 2018 news release from Mayor Tim Currier.
The 11,365 square foot building was built in the late 1800s.
The total project is estimated to cost nearly $1.4 million and is expected to be complete sometime next year.
This is happening via public-private partnership is between the Village of Massena and Goco Ventures LLC, William and Susan Fiacco.
