MASSENA — Massena Village Board members took action on the following appointments and resignations during the board’s Sept. 20 meeting.
• Board members accepted the resignation of Court Officer Matthew Chontosh
• Board members appointed Hadyn Demers-St. Hillaire as a patrol officer for the Massena Police Department
• Tim LaRose was appointed to the Massena Housing Authority Board of Commissioners
• Board members accepted the resignation of Justin Niles in his role as a municipal training officer
• Tyler Mulvenna was appointed as the municipal training officer
Other actions taken during the meeting included authorizing an agreement with Standard Medical Testing Services, who will provide DOT/CDL physicals, alcohol breath testing, urine drug screens and vaccines for village employees.
The contract is to run from Jan. 1, 2023 to Dec. 31, 2023.
Village officials also accepted 23 bids from three bidders for water distribution materials.
The bids totaled $134,387.50 and were approved by board members during the Sept. 20 meeting.
