MASSENA - Town officials will attend further training through the New York State Association of Towns between Feb 20-23.
The decision was formally approved during a Town Board meeting held Jan. 19.
Officials previously completed a first round of training in January, which is standard for newly elected municipal government employees, officials say.
The first round covered a number of topics about municipal policy and procedure, ranging from meeting procedures to basics in accounting.
“The next round builds off of that and goes further in depth,” Town Supervisor Sue Bellor said.
Officials also took action on a resolution to name a delegate and alternate to attend the Annual Business Session of the Association of Towns, and to cast the vote for the town of Massena.
An official selection will come in the near future.
