MASSENA -- The Board of Education voted to appoint Patrick Serguson to fill out an unexpired term.
Serguson, who has previously served on the board, replaces Jason Premo.
Serguson will have to run for the seat in May if he wishes to continue serving.
Premo resigned last month, citing personal reasons.
Serguson is also a former village justice and Massena Police Department officer.
