MASSENA -- A village resident is charged with more than a dozen counts after allegedly stealing checks and forging the names of the owners.
Village police say they charged Brandy A. Carbino, 41, of Woodlawn Avenue, Massena with four counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, all felonies. She was also charged with misdemeanors including three counts of petit larceny, three counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and attempted petit larceny.
She was arrested and charged at 12:50 p.m. June 25 on Ames Street, police said.
