MASSENA -- All trails at Nicandri Nature Center are open for skiing and snowshoeing today.
The trails will not be groomed until at least Monday, because the snow is too wet. The staff is hoping to be able to groom and lay track Monday morning.
Ski wax for no wax skis to help prevent sticking is located on the ski return rack for anyone to use if you are skiing on your own today,
The nature center is asking that no boots be used on the trails, just snowshoes or skis only. The "postholes" from boot walking will freeze in and make it very hard for us to make a groomable surface.
Reservations are required for building access and to borrow equipment.
