MASSENA — A Massena Central graduate will compete for his second mixed martial arts championship next month.
Edward Brown Jr. “Eddie” who fights under the name “Sensation” is fighting for his third title on Sept. 10 in Barre, Vermont.
He will fight at Battle of Barre 8 hosted by Donnybrooke fight promotions.
Brown is pitted against undefeated Haseeb Khetab (3-0) for the vacant 135-pound championship belt.
This will be Brown’s first appearance in this promotion.
He previously has fought for Streetbeefs in Virginia and has amassed a 16-2 record.
This is the first time that Brown has been this close to home for a fight.
“He is excited to be this close and hopes some local MMA fans can come out to support him,: said his father, Edward Brown Sr. “It is going to be a great fight card with a mix of Amatuer and professional fights including a world title kickboxing match for the main event.”
