MASSENA -- A Massena resident was charged with driving while intoxicated following a personal-injury accident on State Highway 11C, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies.
Jamie Plourde, 49, was charged with first-offense DWI and traffic and vehicle infractions following an accident on Saturday, deputies said.
Plourde's vehicle reportedly exited the roadway and struck a utility pole.
The subject reportedly fled the scene into a field and was located a short time later.
Plourde had an alleged blood-alcohol content of .08%, officers said.
Deputies said the subject was cited and released.
