NORFOLK -- A Massena man who registered nearly four times the legal limit on a blood alcohol sobriety test faces a number of charges in Norfolk.
Brent T. Scovil, 24, of Massena, was observed traveling 58 in a 30 mile per hour zone in Norfolk Friday, according to Norfolk village police. When police attempted to pull him over, Scovil reportedly drove through some saplings on the side of the road.
Police report Scovil was holding a can of beer when they finally stopped him. He stated that he had had a fight with his girlfriend, she gave him a black eye, and he left the residence to go to his brother’s residence in Norwood.
Police said Scovil reportedly registered a .30 percent blood alcohol content, almost four times the .08 percent legal limit.
He will appear in Norfolk Town Court on Sept. 22.
