BRASHER -- A Massena man was charged after allegedly holding a knife to another person's throat during an incident May 27 on State Highway 11C, according to state police.

Troopers said they charged 33-year old Marcus Shatraw with second-degree menacing and second-degree harassment at 4:26 p.m. that day.

Investigation revealed Shatraw allegedly passed the victim in his vehicle and stopped in front of the victim's vehicle, causing them both to stop.

Shawtraw, who the victim recognized, got out of his vehicle and put a knife to the throat of the victim, officers said.

He reportedly made the victim get out of the vehicle and then struck the victim in the face.

Both parties left the scene shortly after that, officers said.

The victim did not require medical attention, police said.

Shatraw was located, charged and arraigned in Massena court where he was released on his own recognizance, officers said.
