MASSENA — The Massena Head Start Center will be closed for a minimum of two weeks effective immediately due to a positive COVID-19 case.
“St. Lawrence County CDP is working with the public health department to ensure all necessary precautions are taken,” said Felicia Dumas, executive director of St. Lawrence County Community Development Program.
Staff and families have been contacted regarding procedures they should follow and their potential level of exposure.
“Professional cleaners are being hired to clean and sanitize both the Massena Center and the school bus following CDC and public health guidelines,” Dumas said.
Massena Head Start will continue to provide services remotely during this shut down, providing activities for families and children to complete at home.
Meals will also be provided to families and details regarding meals and delivery will be shared with Head Start families as they become available.
