Massena drive-in opening at half capacity with daily shows planned through Labor Day

MASSENA -- The 56 Auto Drive-in Theater is now open for the season.

While indoor theaters remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the drive-in will be operating every day through Labor Day.

The two movies showing from June 5-11 are Trolls World Tour, starting at 9 p.m., followed by The Wretched at about 10:45 p.m.

The drive-in is two miles south of Massena, at 9783 NYS Hwy. 56.

Ticket prices are $7.50 for adults, $3.50 for children 12 & under, children 3 & under are free.

Currently, the drive-in is cash only at the box office and concession. In the near future, credit cards will be accepted both for ticketing and concessions. Also, advance ticketing will be available on-line.

Parking will be at half capacity to allow for social distancing.

The box office opens at 7:30 p.m. It is suggested to arrive early for best ticket availability.

According to the drive-in Facebook page, Covid-19 guidelines and social distancing will be strictly enforced. Masks will be required outside vehicles. If sitting outside, chairs must be placed in front of vehicles.

Restrooms will be open, limited to three persons at a time in the restroom. They will be routinely cleaned and sanitized

The concession stand is a walk-up window only. Staff wear masks and and gloves during food service.
