OGDENSBURG -- With rising active COVID-19 case numbers, hospitalizations and deaths, a festival planned to take place in October will be cancelled this year, according to organizers.
Organizers say the festival will return in 2022 and offered appreciation for those who help plan, organize, donate, support and attend the event.
“In light of the rising COVID numbers, hospitalizations and deaths, and consultation with the Department of Health, The Stronger Together organization regrets to inform you that the Maple City Festival scheduled for October 2021 has been postponed until next fall. We promise that, given the bigger time frame for our awesome planners, it will be an amazing event! Thank you to all the Stronger Together group, the many volunteers, the businesses, organizations and individuals who planned to donate time, services, and goods. You are all wonderful! See you next Fall,” the Maple Festival Committee said.
