Police said Vincent P. Russell Jr., 21, of 52 West 119th Street, Apt 8, New York City, and locally of 14 State St., Canton, was fraudulently withdrawing funds from a victim’s bank from New Jersey and depositing them in his own checking account at a local bank in the Village of Canton.
The amount stolen was $2500.
Russell Jr. is charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony.
He was arraigned in Canton Town Court on April 2, and released under the supervision of the probation department.
The Canton Police Department was assisted by the South Orange, New Jersey Police Department.
