PARISHVILLE – Brookfield Renewable Power will be lowering the elevation of Allens Falls on the St. Regis River starting Sunday, Sept. 19 to perform maintenance on the dam.
The water level will fall slowly starting on Sept. 19 so that the water will be approximately .8 feet below the spillway crest by Monday, Sept. 20. The water level will remain at that level until Friday, Sept. 24.
On Friday, the water will again be lowered to approximately 10 feet below the normal crest, where it will remain until Thursday, Sept. 30.
After that, the water level is expected to be restored to its normal level by Oct. 3.
