MADRID – A Madrid man suffered minor injuries and was sent to jail without bail after the pickup truck he was operating overturned and landed in a field, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies said Ricky L. Vallance, 53, of 2042 NYS Hwy. 310, was driving a Chevrolet pickup which belonged to an acquaintance northbound on the Chase Mills Road Friday when he lost control.
He was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, misdemeanor unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and speed not reasonable, deputies said.
He was arraigned in Madrid Town Court and sent to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility without bail pending court action, deputies said.
He was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital by the Madrid Rescue Squad for treatment of minor injuries, deputies said.
