POTSDAM — A Madrid man has died following a motor vehicle accident on Monday, Sept. 20.
According to state police, James R. Murray, 78, was traveling east on County Rt. 34 in his 2007 Nissan Frontier, where he failed to yield the right of way to a 1996 International Farm Truck operated by 71-year-old Raymond H. Pearson Jr., of Canton.
Pearson Jr. was southbound on State Hwy. 310 at the time of the accident.
Murray was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital where he died from injuries sustained in the accident.
The investigation is continuing.
