Started by Anastasia Hull in 2014, when she was 21, the little coffee and pastry shop has another young new owner.
Maddie Barton started working at the bakery when she was still in high school. She learned the trade, the business, and all aspects of the bakery and when she turned 18, she bought the business, now known as Maddie's Bakery.
Barton and her sister Jessica carry on with baking a variety of cookies, cakes, scones, cinnamon rolls, quiche, egg bakes and specialty cakes. They have gluten-free and vegan items. They offer a variety of coffees, teas and lattes from Parker Brothers coffee.
The cafe is open Thursday through Saturday 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Hull did not go too far away and continues on with her baked goods on the road in Anastasia's food truck.
