The approval is conditioned on the chamber getting the OK from the mayor for the site, which is not yet certain, but discussion centered on Fall Island due the location’s security advantages.
The chamber must provide the village with a certificate of liability insurance coverage of $1,000,000 listing the Village of Potsdam as an additional insured along with “host liquor liability” coverage. and the chamber will provide the village clerk with proof of obtaining a liquor license for the event. Security will be provided by the event sponsor, the resolution approved by the board said.
