Connor Bell directed a shoreline cleanup, built a weed box for invasive species, created an invasive species educational board, and a fishing line recycling center.
The weed box directs boaters to deposit any plant life or animals that may be attached to their boat before launching into the St. Lawrence to help curb the spread of invasive species.
The near-by educational board gives the public an idea of what constitutes an invasive species. Boaters and anglers are also directed to dump unwanted bait and to drain bilge.
Bell is a member of Troop 9 in Heuvelton.
