LISBON — A Lisbon man, who was charged last week on multiple felony sex charges, has been additionally charged with forcible touching (a misdemeanor), said a press release from the county Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s detectives the new charge was leveled after they determined that Douglas M. Monroe, 36, “intentionally and for no legitimate purpose forcibly touched the sexual or other intimate parts of a 14-year-old in the town of Lisbon.”
Monroe was charged on June 21 with with predatory sexual assault, felony, first-degree rape, felony, first-degree sexual conduct against a child, felony, first-degree criminal sex act, felony, and first-degree sexual abuse, felony, the sheriff’s office said.
Detectives said those charges are in connection with sexual contact Monroe had with a child younger than 13 over an 18-month period.
He is still being held in St. Lawrence County jail for those charges and remains there in light of the new charge.
The investigation is continuing, deputies said.
