CANTON — As a follow up to the information that the county shared last week regarding an exposure at the Canton Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), the St. Lawrence County Clerk’s office announced that there will be “very limited staffing” onsite this week in Canton.
There will only be staff available to meet the existing appointment obligations, a press release from the clerk's office said.
Unfortunately, the majority of the staff in Canton will be quarantined until next week. This may lead to delays with appointments.
The office normally staffed by approximately 13 is temporarily reduced to 5.
Visit the office’s booking website at www.cantondmv3191.setmore.com to make an appointment. The same day appointments for this week will not be available.
The voicemail system will answer calls with helpful information and an alternate phone number, if further assistance is needed.
The Canton DMV will tentatively return to full staff and appointments by Monday, Jan. 25, 2021.
