Light snow for Thanksgiving Day in parts of St. Lawrence County

St. Lawrence County residents in some areas of the county are seeing a light snow dusting today as they sit down for Thanksgiving dinner this afternoon.

The National Weather Service predicts a chance of snow showers mainly before 1 p.m. The sky today will be mostly cloudy, with highs near 33 degrees.

Winds will be from the north at 11 to 14 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight the sky will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 23 degrees and a north wind blowing at 7 to 9 mph.

However, skies will mostly sunny Friday, with a high near 27 degrees. North wind around 7 mph. Skies will me mostly clear later that night, with a low around 15 and a north wind around 8 mph.

Conditions for the rest of week see a little more sun before the snow rolls in again.
