Light snow, brief warmup expected in St. Lawrence County before extreme temps return

A quick moving low pressure system will bring light snow to St. Lawrence County today as it moves along north of the international border, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Temperatures will briefly warm to near seasonal normal as this system goes by, but colder weather will return tonight and linger into the weekend as strong high pressure builds over the North Country.

There will be a high today around 35 with winds of 15 to 18 mph and gusts as high as 30 mph, the service says. Overnight the low will be around -1 with strong winds.

After today`s light snow, no significant precipitation is expected through the rest of the week.

Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 4. Wind chill values as low as -14. West wind around 8 mph.

Mostly clear, with a low around -14. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Sunny and cold, with a high near 2. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph.

Friday Night

Mostly clear, with a low around -12. Light and variable wind.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 14. Light and variable wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.
