July busy month for Parishville Area ATV Club

PARISHVILLE -- July was busy for the Parishville Area ATV Club, with rides, picnics and parades.

On July 9 the club had a ride and picnic to the Fort Jackson Park, club Membership Coordinator Lucy Lucas reports. Loren Sochia led 17 ATVs and 36 members, who are all grateful to everyone involved in letting the club use the park.

On July 16 the club had a night ride with 15 ATVs and 21 members to the Deer Valley Restaurant for dinner, another wonderful ride and excellent meal. Ed Francis led the ride.

On July 23 a family picnic was held at Lucy and Charles Schloer's home. There was wonderful weather, great food and lots of visiting and story telling. 28 club members and their families attended.

On July 30 club members participated in the Seaway Festival Parade in Ogdensburg, with 8 ATVs and 15 people. The parade was fun, hot and long, but they all had a good time, and they want to thank Ed Bullock for organizing and for getting permission from the Ogdensburg Seaway Festival for participation in their parade.

On July 31 club members attended the parade in Hannawa Falls. There were 3 ATVs and 6 people attending. Again, Lucas reports, it was fun, hot, but the parade was much shorter. The Hannawa Falls Fire Dept. also invited the club to sell memberships, clothing and 50/50 tickets at their field day. The club thanks them for the invitation and their support. A special thank you goes to Rose Martin for her help with getting a space in the parade and a table at the Fireman's Field.
