POTSDAM -- Potsdam Ice Storm 16 and under girls hockey team has won the New York State amateur hockey title.
The girls will be heading to Irving, Texas to compete in the Girls 16U Nationals March 28 to April 2.
The Ice Storm took the first place crown at the New York State Amateur Hockey Association Tourney at Amherst, beating the Brewster Bulldogs in a 4-1 win Sunday evening.
The team will go to the national tourney as the number one-ranked seed from the New York State.
The team begins fundraising efforts immediately as they make plans to make the trip to Texas.
