GOUVERNEUR — The Village of Gouverneur, Department of Public Works is informing residents that hydrant flushing will be done during the day, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday Oct. 5. It will be done a second time 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday October 6.
Residents may notice a loss of water pressure and a slight discoloration of the water. While the water is safe to drink, residents are encouraged to hold off on doing white laundry.
“Thank you for your cooperation and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause,” said DPW Superintendent Terry Simmons.
