The hot and steamy weather is set to continue through at least tomorrow but should break by Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
Getting a good night's sleep might be difficult for those without air conditioning tonight. The temps are not expected to go below 69.
Tomorrow, the temperature will again climb, but this time, to about 88 degrees, the NSW predicts. A west wind of about 11 mph will help keep the warm, muggy air moving.
Friday night, temps will dip lower to a more comfortable 61, and Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 85.
The NSW is predicting the heat wave will break by Sunday, with sunny skies and a high of only 75.
The extended forecast shows seasonable temps through Thursday.
