CONSTABLE — A Hogansburg man was arrested Wednesday after lying to police about a motorcycle crash, according to state police.
Troopers charged Abraham T. Gray, 34, with third-degree falsely reporting an incident and second-degree criminal impersonation, police said.
Gray contacted Franklin County 911 and reported he was involved in a motorcycle crash on July 28 on County Route 38 near Powers Road, in Constable, officers said.
After an investigation, troopers discovered no vehicle crash actually occurred at that location.
However, Gray was transported to Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone for a knee injury he sustained from another incident, police said.
Gray was arraigned in the Constable Town Court and subsequently released to the supervision of Franklin County Probation, police said.
Gray reportedly had an active bench warrant from the St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police and he was transported to the St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police Department.
