OSWEGATCHIE – A Heuvelton motorcycle operator was injured Friday night after he lost control of his 2004 Kawasaki and landed in a ditch, according to state police.
Police said Joshua A. LaMere, 33, was traveling north on State Highway 68 and lost control due to unsafe speed. He left the roadway off the east shoulder and his motorcycle came to rest on its left side in a ditch, police said.
LaMere was transported to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg, by the Lisbon Rescue Squad for abrasions to both knees, police said.
He was ticketed for unreasonable speed and unlicensed operator.
