DEKALB JUNCTION — Hermon-DeKalb Central School moved to remote learning Oct. 28-29 to allow for more time for contact tracing following a positive COVID-19 test in the district.
“Earlier today you were notified of a positive Covid case in our elementary,” school officials said on the district Facebook page. “We were notified by Public Health that they would be unable to complete contact tracing tonight like they originally thought. As a result, we will be taking the next two days, Wednesday, October 28 and Thursday, October 29th as remote learning days to allow them more time for contact tracing.”
There will be two food distribution times Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon and again from 5-6 p.m. Contact the school for food pickup arrangements, officials said.
