HANNAWA FALLS -- Helping Hands, 5868 State Highway 56, is more than just a food pantry. It is available to assist those in need with household items and transportation.
Helping Hands provides free vehicles to working people who do not have access to transportation (no other vehicles in the household) from the towns of: Brasher, Colton, Hannawa Falls, Hopkinton, Lawrence, Madrid, Nicholville, Norfolk, Norwood, Parishville, Pierrepont, Potsdam, Stockholm and South Colton.
Apply in person at Helping Hands between 9 am and 1:30pm, must bring proof of address, driver's license, proof of employment, proof of address, and contact information for place of employment. No phone calls please.
Lunch is served at the Helping Hands in Hannawa Falls Monday through Thursday at noon, and all are welcome! There is also a food pantry and furniture barn where free furniture, housewares and appliances are available free of charge.
