CANTON -- The reason for a fire that caused moderate damage to an unoccupied trailer along U.S. Rt. 11 this morning is under investigation, according to the St. Lawrence County Emergency Services.
Investigators credited firefighters with a "great save."
Canton Fire and Rescue got the call to 6230 U.S. 11, near Cowan Road, at 4:15 a.m. They were joined by volunteers from Morley, Pyrites, and West Potsdam.
Canton firefighters reported back in service at 6:24.
