GOUVERNEUR -- An autopsy has determined a Gouverneur man found dead in a Gouverneur cemetery died of a sharp force injury to the neck.
State Police responded to East Side Cemetery on Van Buren Road, Feb. 11 around 8:20 a.m. following a report of a deceased male.
When troopers arrived on the scene, they reportedly located Ronald E. Durham, 72, of Gouverneur, deceased under suspicious circumstances.
As a result of an investigation, with the assistance of the Gouverneur Police Department, Frederick A. Wing, 22, Gouverneur,was arrested for one count of murder in the second-degree.
Wing was arraigned in the Town of Rossie Court and ordered held in the St. Lawrence County Jail, without bail, pending future court appearances.
This investigation remains ongoing, officers said.
