CANTON -- Henry Leader, R-Gouverneur, was sworn in as a member of the St. Lawrence County Legislator Tuesday.
Leader was appointed to the position in January of 2017 to fill a vacancy left by Travis Dann, who resigned the job to serve as Gouverneur Town Justice. He was reappointed to continue filling that position Tuesday. Leader led the meeting following his appointment by acting as temporary chair until the county was able to select a chairman.
He was nominated by David Forsythe of Lisbon and unanimously supported by legislators to serve as the temporary chair.
Leader represents the towns of DePeyster and Gouverneur on the county legislature.
