GOUVERNEUR – The Gouverneur Middle School has launched the Positivity Project, an initiative designed to promote character strengths and foster a positive school culture. Recently, the entire Gouverneur Middle School united in an extraordinary drone photo shoot, capturing an aerial view of the symbolic P2 shield.
Students in grades 5 through 8 enthusiastically joined forces to kick off this transformative initiative, aligning with the Positivity Project's core values of "other people matter.
Principal Robert Kotz expressed excitement for the impact this initiative will have on the school community.
"The Positivity Project will solidify our district's mission of delivering a brighter future for our students and community,” he said.
The Positivity Project, a widely recognized program, equips schools with resources to cultivate character development and positive relationships. By embracing the 24 character strengths, the Gouverneur Middle School aims to create a supportive learning environment where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Through the Positivity Project, the Gouverneur Middle School is committed to nurturing kindness, empathy, and collaboration among students. The drone photo shoot served as a visual representation of their collective commitment to this journey.
