GOUVERNEUR -- A Gouverneur man was arrested for allegedly waving a stolen pistol inside Serendipity bar on Saturday, according to Gouverneur police.

Derrick S. Marcellus, 48, was charged at 7:51 p.m. for third-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana, officers said.

He reportedly waved a handgun inside Serendipity bar, 9 Williams St., and was allegedly found to have a Raven model P-25 pistol inside his pants pocket, officers said.

Marcellus was also found to to have marijuana on his person during the incident, police said.

Marcellus was reportedly placed under arrest and transported to Gouverneur Police Department for processing.

He was arraigned in Gouverneur Town Court by Judge Travis Dann and released under supervision of probation.
