GOUVERNEUR — A Gouverneur man who was airlifted to SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse following a motorcycle crash was charged with driving while intoxicated Friday, according to state police.
State police said they arrested 31-year-old Cody J. Young following investigation of a motorcycle crash that occurred Sept. 19 around 1:30 a.m. on County Route 12.
Young was reportedly traveling on CR 12 when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed.
He was air lifted to SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, police said.
Officers said Young sustained a fracture to his left femur and minor lacerations to his face.
Upon his release from the hospital, Young was charged with felony DWI, due to having a previous conviction for DWI in the preceding ten years, and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, officers said.
He was arraigned in Gouverneur Town Court and released.
