GOUVERNEUR -- A Gouverneur resident was charged after allegedly striking two police officers during an incident earlier this month, according to village police.
Shannon M. Boprey, 32, was charged with second-degree assault, resisting arrest and second-degree harassment, officers said.
Boprey was being taken into custody on a separate matter when he fought with officers, police said.
He reportedly pushed and elbowed one officer in the face and struck another in the back of the head.
Boprey was arraigned in Gouverneur court and remanded to St. Lawrence County jail on $2,500 bail, police said.
