POTSDAM – The Potsdam Humane Society Vets and Pets Golf Tournament “was a success” as golfers enjoyed a great day on the links at the Potsdam Town and Country Club, according to an emailed statement from the humane society.
The over $7,000 profit replenished the Pets and Vets fund providing our veterans a free pet.
“PHS wants to thank all the golfers who played and supported us. They are a great bunch of generous folks who add a lot of laughs and fun to the fundraiser,” said Bonnie Boyd of the PHS.“Gratitude was also expressed for this year's sponsors, Amvets 4 of Massena, Amvets 262 of Colton, Amvets 282 of Potsdam, Bicknell Corporation, Big Spoon Kitchen, Cappello and Linden Attorneys, Canton Animal Clinic, John and Ann Carvill, Christ's Church of Hope, CJS Enterprises, Cutlers Custom Home Repair, Merriman, Inc., Mike Knowlton, Mort Backus and Sons, North Country Savings Bank, Potsdam Agway, Potsdam Elks Lodge, Sandstone Realty, SAVE-A-LOT, J Proulx, SeaComm Federal Credit Union, St Lawrence Federal Credit Union, T and R Wines and Liquors, Lucille Waterson, and Susan Wing.”
Plans for the 10th Annual Pets and Vets tournament on June 6, 2020 are already underway.
