FOWLER — A Fowler man has been arrested for an alleged sexual assault that took place on Jan. 31, 2023.

John E. Carlin Jr., 56, was charged at an address on Little York Road by St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies on Sept. 13.

Carlin was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sex act: by force (class B felonies) and one count of criminal obstruction of breathing (a misdemeanor).

He was arraigned in Hermon town court and held on bail.

An order of protection was issued in favor of the victim.
