The men’s FISU hockey tournament will include 12 teams, with the preliminary round featuring two pools of six teams, with the top two finishers in each pool advancing to the playoffs. The women’s FISU tournament will have eight teams competing in a round robin to advance four teams to the playoffs.
Locally, the 44 preliminary hockey games will take place at SUNY Canton’s Roo House, SUNY Potsdam’s Maxcy Hall, and Clarkson’s Cheel Arena.
The FISU 2023 World hockey playoffs will start Jan. 20 at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid, where most of the other FISU games and events will take place.
