OGDENSBURG -- Firefighters were able to stop a garage fire from spreading to nearby homes on Saturday night, according to Ogdensburg Professional Firefighters Local 1799 officials.
The fire was reported shortly after 9:30 p.m. on the 500 block of Elizabeth Street.
A quick response saved the blaze from spreading rapidly to the homes, officials said.
The fire was under control in about 10 minutes.
Firefighters from Heuvelton and Lisbon were requested to the scene, and National Grid also responded. Morristown was on standby for Ogdensburg fire.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
