RENSSELAER FALLS -- Volunteers from the Central & Northern New York Chapter of the American Red Cross provided immediate emergency aid to two people following a fire Sunday morning on Front Street.
According to WWNY, six pets were saved during the fire and a man was treated at a local hospital for smoke inhalation. To read their story, click here.
The Red Cross provided financial assistance which can be used for necessities such as shelter, food, and clothing to two adults. Volunteers also offered health services and emotional support.
In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help those affected by the fire as they navigate the road to recovery.
