OGDENSBURG -- An Ogdensburg resident was displaced following a fire at 1515 Knox Street, according to Ogdensburg fire officials.
The blaze was reported around 10:56 a.m. by the owner of the apartment.
Officials said the location is the former Lincoln School building. It has around 20-30 apartments in it.
Firefighters were able to limit the damage to the one apartment and damage there was minimal, officials said.
The fire reportedly started in the living room and the cause is still under investigation.
Some clothes and debris in the residence were damaged by the fire, officials said.
No injuries were reported.
Red Cross was helping the provide financial assistance to the individual, which can be used for necessities such as shelter, food, and clothing, to one adult.
Volunteers also offered health services and comfort kits containing personal care items. The resident is eligible for Veterans' services, officials said.
