MASSENA – Investigators say a home occupied by three people suffered moderate damage from a blaze that broke out Saturday night.
Massena firefighters responded at 7:43 p.m. to the 7 Liberty Ave. house owned and occupied by Eric and Sarah Smith.
The Brasher-Winthrop Volunteer Fire Department provided mutual aid. The Louisville Volunteer Fire Department stood by at the Massena station, and West Stockholm firefighters were on standby at their own station.
Cause of the blaze has been ruled accidental, investigators said. The building was insured.
Massena firefighters returned to the station by 9:37 p.m.
